The Worlds of the New Conglomerate

The Worlds of the New Conglomerate

Warning! Some mild spoilers ahead!

If you're curious about Season Two of Scions of Oth, but haven't read Season One yet, you can grab the 9 Book Boxed Set on Amazon now for 0.99¢.

Season One of Scions of Oth ended with a bang. Humanity managed to survive, but life isn't going to be the same after the end of Episode 9. Some things are still left unknown, and it's definitely up in the air what exactly the fate of some characters will be.

For those who have read Season One and are now ready for Season Two, the biggest thing to understand is that there's been a bit of a time jump. We're skipping ahead 22 years into the future (for reasons I'll explain in a moment). We haven't left behind your beloved characters, though; they're still around, just a little older and a little wiser (in some cases).

Humanity has found safe haven in a different sector of the galaxy. A sector of the galaxy that they haven't colonized or lived in for roughly 10,000 years. Because of that, there's a lot of rebuilding that has to happen.

The Old Conglomerate is no more. A new one has to be built.

I hope to write about this period of time some day. There's a lot that can still happen in that kind of setting and it's something I plan to explore. But for the story of Scions of Oth to move forward, we have to get to the juicy bits. We can't meander around in the galactic wilderness for 22 years. We have to get to the action.

So here's an introduction to some of the worlds of the New Conglomerate to whet your appetite for Season Two. Enjoy!

THRAS

Humanity's birthplace is now a barren wasteland. Returning after 10,000 years away, the members of the Conglomerate who managed to survive the Grakhon will find no comfort on Thras's surface. Ravaged by wars long forgotten, it has little to offer to those who seek permanent settlement.

But for those who do not fit into the new order of things, it is a haven. A place they can make their own.

NEW CERON

The icy planet of New Ceron is the home of the Ceron people. A mostly frigid world, New Ceron was one of several worlds discovered to be habitable in the region of space surrounding Thras. It is believed that the previous inhabitants of these planets are the ones responsible for terraforming them, a boon for the survivors of humanity who escaped the Grakhon.

KAAZ

Named for the Empress of the Mesav Empire, the lush, green planet is home to Kaaz and her peoples from among the great Conglomerate Diaspora. Members of Mesav, Vay, Zorok, and Laneth reside here.

The mysterious Monolith and other structures left by the previous inhabitants—whose whereabouts are unknown—have served as key infrastructure for the inhabitants of the Imperial planet in the wake of the Exodus.

ASYLUM

Asylum station is home to the Kridzen people, who have repopulated after their near-extinction. With the revelation of the Fabrication Cylinders at the core of Asylum, the Kridzen have been able to provide for most of humanity's material needs in the wake of the Exodus. However, darker secrets lurk in Asylum's depths, which are yet to be revealed.
